A guide will be accompanied and the horses are well trained; you will enter the Sea of Okhotsk through Mokoto lake. □Horse riding of winter and the high view from the horse should move you, and heighten your adventurous spirit even more. The Shiretoko mountains of winter, the Sea of Okhotsk, and the scenery of horse riding are just moving. This is the moment for a great picture. of performing "drift ice horse riding." Mr. Masayoshi Fukui (NPO Corporation, Okhotsk active center, Chairman of the boards) □It is about ten years ago when it first began the horse riding of winter. It is attractive to see the drift ice which is spread only on this land through horse riding. Those who have not done horse riding before are also OK. Rather, beginner is preferred. Although it was serious at the time of snowstorm, the visitors were glad and were impressed most. It is my pleasure if you could experience and feel the change of drift ice of Okhotsk according to weather conditions, sky, a way, etc by horse riding. ※Please refer to G for inquiry |
JR Semmo Line Kitahama station is close to the Sea of Okhotsk, and is the best point of drift ice observation. The "drift ice NOROKKO ship" carries out two round trips between Shiretoko-shari-Abashiri a day. You may get on or off at this station.
Please enjoy this winter-only experience. |
